A USTA and Tennis Hall of Fame lifetime member, Florin’s long and prestigious career has included positions as director of tennis, head professional, professor and coach. He is a USTPA & USPTR Master Professional. One of his many specialties includes developing young talent and as a result has designed junior programs that empower players for a long and successful career. Subsequently he has trained some of the top junior tennis athletes who have held top rankings.

Among Florin’s most notable players are Yannick Noah, (once ranked fourth in the world), Silvia Hanika, Tim Mayotte, Barbara Potter and Bill Scanlon. He has also had long associations with tennis legend Bjorn Borg, Boris Becker, Ile Nastase, John McEnroe and Stefan Edberg, among many others. Some of his former celebrity students include Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dustin Hoffman, Bill Cosby, Peter Jennings and former President George Bush, Sr.

Florin himself has his own string of tennis accolades having received US National ranking in 1983 and 1992 and US Eastern rankings in 1983, 1993 and 1998. A linguist by nature, Florin speaks several languages including English, French, Romanian and Italian. He also has a working knowledge of Russian and Spanish.
