Philipp Halfmann

Philipp Halfmann is a coach dedicated to helping his players achieve their goals through contemporary training methods that are based on scientifically proven results. As the founder of World Tennis Talent, Philipp has spent the majority of his life playing, learning and teaching tennis. His passion for the game is evident through the success he has had in coaching promising new talent. Prior to World Tennis Talent, Philipp was the Head Tennis Professional at The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, Miami, Florida, where he consulted and was guided daily by tennis legends Fred Stolle and Owen Davidson.

After a successful career as a player, Phillipp has now turned his attention to enabling other talented players to succeed in the competitive world of tennis. His coaching experience began after many years of coaching talented junior players in Germany. He later moved to the United States, where he was assistant coach and played the number 1 position at City University of New York. As a “Bearcat” he won the City University of New York Athletic Conference Championship Men’s Tennis 2004 and 2005, by playing home games at the Billie Jean King US Open Tennis Center. He also helped improve the Women’s Tennis Team from 3-7 (2004) to 7-3 (2005).

To enhance his coaching abilities, Phillipp expanded his knowledge of sports and physical conditioning as well as career management by obtaining his Masters Degree in Sports & Exercise Science at Florida International University (FIU). While working at FIU as a strength & conditioning coach he was in charge of FIU's NCAA Divison 1 Men's & Women's Soccer and Swimming & Diving teams. Under his leadership the Swimming & Diving team achieved 3 School Records, 14 lifetime bests, and 19 season bests at the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Feb. 18-21, 2009, at Nashville, Tenn.
