Wall Chest Opener

Proper Technique: 
  1. Place the hands slightly wider than shoulder width apart at the corner of two walls
  2. Keep a neutral stance a few feet away from the wall and slowly bend at the elbows allowing the chest to descend toward the wall
  3. At the bottom of the stretch the shoulder blades should be pinched together

Targeted Muscles

  • Chest (pectoralis major)

Improper Technique: 

Bringing the chest forward but not relaxing the shoulders and allowing the shoulder blades to come together.

Positions: 
Place hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart at the corner of two walls

Common Errors: 

Keeping a stance too close to the wall which limits the potential stretch.
