Philosophy
We believe that every tennis player must have a realistic goal, whether it is playing on the professional tour or college level, because it will help us determine how to get you there. It is critical for you and your family to understand that it takes effort, hard work, patience, and the right team to become a successful professional tennis player because only a small percentage of players make it to the pros. When you take, for example, all the college players in the USA, how many make it into the top 100 each year?
In other words, we have the expertise to make you successful but we can only help you become successful if you really want it. It is the same as giving birth to a child - the doctor can help deliver the baby but he can’t deliver it for you. It doesn’t matter how much we want you to become successful, you must have the discipline and focus, and we will support you.
At World Tennis Talent, physical fitness of all our players is our priority because we believe it is the foundation for success. Being fit allows you to hit the ball harder and play at a faster pace overall. You can have the most beautiful strokes but they don’t make you successful if you can’t get to the ball in time. Also, being in shape safeguards against injuries - the best player is the one that is healthy. Imagine how successful players such as Patrick Rafter or Martina Hingis could have been without injuries!
We also believe that success is a team effort that involves the player, coach, and family. In order for you to be successful, coach, player, and family must work together as a team – we must respect and trust each other.
